Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally developable silver halide photosensitive material free of a scratch and contamination with fallen matter in a conveying process after the coating and drying of an undercoat layer or after winding and also free of white spots. SOLUTION: The thermally developable silver halide photosensitive material has an undercoat layer containing a matting agent on at least one face of a support, the center line average surface roughness Ra of the undercoat layer is <=15 nm and 10-100 particles of the matting agent are present in 100 μm2 area of the undercoat layer.
