(57)【要約】 【課題】2元系セラミックスを含有とする複合材料に比 して強度および硬度に優れる複合材料の製造方法を提供 する。 【解決手段】Ti、Al、V、Nb、Zr、Hf、M o、Ta、Cr、Wの群から選択される少なくとも2種 の金属元素とN、さらにはCを構成成分とする多元系セ ラミックスと、Fe、Ni、Co、またはこれらのうち 少なくとも1種の金属元素を構成成分とする合金との混 合粉末を成形体とする(成形工程S1)。該成形体を焼 結して多孔質焼結体とした後(一次焼結工程S2)、こ の多孔質焼結体の内部に触媒含有溶液を含浸する(含浸 工程S3)。必要に応じて該多孔質焼結体の表面にコー ティング膜を形成した後(被覆工程SC)、さらに、多 孔質焼結体を窒素雰囲気中で再焼結して緻密化し(二次 焼結工程S4)、製品としての複合材料とする。
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a composite material which has strength and hardness more excellent than those of a composite material containing binary ceramics. SOLUTION: The powdery mixture of multicomponent ceramics consisting of at least two kinds of metallic elements selected from the group consisting of Ti, Al, V, Nb, Zr, Hf, Mo, Ta, Cr and W, N and C as constitutional components and Fe, Ni, Co or an alloy consisting of at least one kind of metallic element therein as a constitutional component is compacted into a compact (a compacting stage S1). The compact is sintered into a porous sintered body (a primary sintering stage S2), and, after that, a catalyst-containing solution is impregnated into the porous sintered body (an impregnating stage S2). If required, on the surface of the porous sintered body, a coating film is deposited (a coating stage SC), and, after that, the porous sintered body is resintered and made dense in a nitrogen atmosphere (a secondary sintering stage S4) into a composite material as a product.
